Tucson doctor facing sexual abuse, assault charges

By KOLD - 13.03.2025 - [USA] - [Dr. Dung T. Nguyen]

A Tucson doctor has been accused of sexually abusing several patients.

The Tucson Police Department said Dr. Dung T. Nguyen, 65, was indicted on several counts of sexual abuse and sexual assault.

The TPD said the investigation began when numerous women came forward and reported several incidents that occurred during physical examinations by Nguyen.

The TPD said Nguyen was working at a facility on Tucson’s east side.

According to the Arizona Community Physicians website, Nguyen was working at Grace Health & Healing Center at 7340 East Speedway.

Arizona Community Physicians CEO Jim Stelzer said Nguyen was placed on administrative leave immediately when the company learned about the charges. Stelzer said the company is cooperating with the criminal investigation and may take further action against Nguyen.

The TPD said the women claimed Nguyen “engaged in inappropriate touching and fondling of the breasts, and or digital penetration of their genitalia.”

The suspected abuse happened during medical exams that were not related to those areas of the body, according to the TPD.

According to court documents, the assaults happened from January 2018 to April 2024.

“Each of these reports were thoroughly investigated by Tucson Police, to include service of search warrants, evidence collection, detective interviews, and other relevant investigative activities,” the TPD said in a release Tuesday.

The TPD said detectives are looking for more witnesses and potential victims.
