Three local groups among 60 to benefit from €4.6m in funding to support victims of crime

The Minister for Justice, Meath East TD Helen McEntee as announced 4.6 million euro in funding for more than 60 organisations to support victims of crime.


It's a 20 per cent increase on the funding made available last year.


The groups being supported include Barnardos, Women's Aid, the Rape Crisis Network and Dignity4Patients.


Locally, €40,000 has been allocated for the Meath Women's Refuge, €31,240 has been awarded to Dundalk Counselling Service and Women's Aid in Dundalk will receive €30,000.
