Doctor convicted of patient's sex abuse

By Scott Rains - SWOK News - 14.06.2025 - [USA] - [Dr. Bali Reddy Sodam] It took three years to get to trial and three days of testimony and evidence presentation but it only took a Comanche County jury 30 minutes to find a Lawton doctor guilty of sexually abusing his patient.
Dr. Bali Reddy Sodam, 60, of Lawton, was found guilty Friday in Comanche County District Judge Scott D. Meaders’ courtroom for felony charges of sexual battery and indecent exposure. They recommended a five-year sentence and a $20,000 fine for indecent exposure and an extra five years and a $10,000 fine for sexual battery.
A pre-sentencing investigation was ordered and an official decision is scheduled to be made in early September.
Sodam was arrested in 2022 when he was accused of carrying out inappropriate behavior with a patient.
