A psychologist based in Wyomissing has been charged with indecent assault, sexual abuse of children and related offenses after, police claim, he touched a patient inappropriately and took photos of her, then made AI-generated pornography from her images and those of others -- including from images of a 12-year-old girl.
According to police, Jeffrey Leoni, 54, of Sinking Spring, has been arrested and charged after a victim claimed he touched her inappropriately during a visit to her home in May.
At that time, police say, the woman had arranged -- what Leoni had offered as -- a "therapeutic massage" at her residence instead of at his office in Wyomissing.
He offered to perform this procedure at no charge, though, police claim, he told the patient she would need to be undressed "to her comfort level."
During this incident, officials said, Leoni touched the victim, a 37-year-old woman, inappropriately and he also had "his phone positioned in her direction, as if her was taking photographs and/or recording her."
In June, while serving Leoni with a search warrant, investigators recovered a cellular device from the doctor and, officials said, this device contained photos of the victim -- as well as other women -- in various stages of undress.
Also, officials said, detectives discovered images of a 12-year-old girl on this same device.
A review of this device, officials said, uncovered an AI application on the phone with which, police believe, Leoni created nude images from photos that he had on his device.
Leoni, officials said, surrendered to police on July 30, 2025. He is in police custody as he awaits an arraignment hearing, according to police.
An investigation into this incident is ongoing.
