Doctor Arrested for Producing Child Pornography on The Dark Web

A 40-year-old doctor has been arrested for producing child pornography and distributing it on the Dark Web.
An operation conducted by the State Police led to the arrest of a 40-year-old doctor from Turin, investigated for the production and possession of large quantities of child pornography material. The man was hit by precautionary custody order issued by the preliminary investigations judge of the Turin Court, following a complex and prolonged investigative activity that began over two years ago.
The investigation, coordinated by CNCPO (National Center for the Fight against Online Child Pornography) of the Postal Police Service and Cyber Security, has allowed us to reconstruct over 12 years of criminal conduct implemented by the subject within the scope of pedophile communities active on the Dark Web, where he operated under a false name, convinced that he could count on the anonymity guaranteed by the TOR protocol.
Thanks to meticulous undercover activity conducted by computer specialists, the investigators managed to trace the real identity of the man, associating it with the pseudonyms used online. Initially, the proceedings had been initiated by the Rome Prosecutor's Office, which issued a search warrant personal, local and IT.
During the searches, they were seized numerous digital devices, the examination of which confirmed the production and exchange of illicit content. The suspect he had chat relationships with minors, with whom he also organized real meetings, always for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
The investigations also revealed that the doctor, in his spare time, he frequented sports environments in close contact with adolescents, thus exploiting further opportunities to lure potential victims.
The man's contacts also included a priest of the province of Brescia, arrested last May by Postal Police investigators. The two, according to what has emerged, they had planned the creation of an Italian child pornography group, intended to recruit subjects involved in the production of new illicit material.
The operation is part of a broader framework to combat online crime, which sees the Postal Police engaged daily in the fight against digital pedophilia, with the support of advanced technological tools and increasingly refined investigation methodologies.
