A doctor who has worked for the Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance has been accused of sexual harassment and abusing his senior position towards four medical students.
A misconduct hearing is due to begin this week for Dr Adam Chesters, who was previously listed on the charity's website as Deputy Medical Director.
The website stated he was a consultant in emergency medicine and prehospital emergency medicine with over 15 years of experience.
The charity has confirmed that at the time of the allegations, Dr Chesters was not representing the organisation.
The misconduct hearing is due to start on Thursday, December 18 and is expected to last until January 23, 2026, with a number of non-sitting dates in between due to the Christmas period.
The Medical Practitioners Tribunal Service states: "The tribunal will inquire into the allegation that, during the period June 2022 to March 2024, Dr Chesters’ conduct towards four medical students constituted an abuse of his more senior position.
"It is further alleged that Dr Chesters' behaviour was sexually motivated and constituted sexual harassment in relation to three of the students and constituted harassment in relation to the fourth."
Regarding the situation, a spokesperson from the charity has stated: "Lincs and Notts Air Ambulance (LNAA) is aware of recent media coverage regarding Dr Chesters.
"We wish to make our position clear. Dr Chesters is not an employee of LNAA; he provides services to the charity on a contractor basis."
They continued: "The matter has been addressed to date by the General Medical Council, which has not imposed any conditions that prevent him from practising as a doctor. At the time of the allegations, Dr Chesters was not representing LNAA.
"The charity has no involvement in this case. We will not be making further comment at this time."

Dignity4Patients Commentary: A doctor holds a trusted position in a hospital; they should not abuse this power to create a toxic working environment. When those charged with a #DutyOfCare turn a blind eye, opportunists take advantage.
